Now, Kate has practically warred her entire life for everything she got. She was often up against Trevor at school. The brightest boy in the school, and the brightest girl warning it out for a scholarship for collage. Trevor won, leaving Kate behind, hurt and with out a collage opportunity. Thus we find our amazing girl working for the Census Bureau, in a job where the boss is far from kind. Her husband she dearly loved had passed, and now Kate is cornered in ways you have to read to fathom the full depth of her situation.

Kate has no other option. She is going to work in a high risk medical area to record data. Tuberculosis, a disease with out a cure yet, is taking lives daily. Kate will be front line in this environment, putting her very life as risk. More shocking yet, she is going to have work for, and with Trevor! Horrible Trevor McDonough is what she has called him her whole life. How can you love someone who wrecked your whole world, and how can you not love or admire a Doctor this determined? What is God's plan for their lives, and how many more lives will perish before a cure is found?

A very good read, like her other books I was not at all disappointed and enjoyed the hard work Ms. Camden put into her research and characters.
