About the Book:
My Review:
This book can be life changing and will change lives, and is about a life and the changes in that life as it progresses. Katherine has had it. Life has been hard for her in ways she didn't expect. She is dealing with trauma, tragic events, and so very much pain. Things keep going from bad, to worse, and yet worse to the point the she changes her name to Alcatraz. However, she is also has joy and occasionally and is finding her passion for art can open doors for her. As her life progresses, Alcatraz seeks to understand religions, and why she just doesn't feel loved, and what she should decide to believe in - to find herself. She needs to understand answers to some of the why's in her life, and she has found a passion for tattoos and tattoo artists along with a gift for drawing and design that few have at her age. In the middle of all this, strangest of all to Alcatraz, are the eyes that keep following her. These eyes just turning up in the places she least expects in her life and she can't figure out the purpose. People keep telling her she is destined for something, but they aren't totally sure what or why, only that she has greatness ahead of her.
Alcatraz The Lost Pearl is a book well worth reading. It manged to explore many different religions, and the difference between them and real Christianity, not the fake stuff. It is a very real and gritty book that touches on the pain that many of us have gone through, or we know someone who has gone through these kinds of pain. This book takes a very realistic view of many religious believes, and what they do and do not lead people into.
This is a highly, highly recommended read that needs to be shared with many. I am excited about reading the second book in this series!
