Boneman's Daughters by Ted Dekker

Hey Readers,

If you like "horror" or anything close to it, you will be well pleased with this book. In some ways some of the contrasts in this book caused my mind to compared this book with the movie "Silence of the Lambs". Why, well because Boneman's Daughters shows one of the most drastic, plain, clearly drawn, tortured evil that has come against truly misled innocence that has been manipulated, and the search for real love.

Unlike Obsessed, which was also very good, this book is on a whole different level to my way of thinking and reading. It really shows that Mr. Dekker "took things up a notch" and laid bare more of the horrible real word truths for all to read. I am not at all sorry that I read it. While in some ways it is one of the scariest things I have ever read, it is also a story of love, second chances and redemption. The myriad of different views points of the cast of characters was not lost on me at all. We each have things we must do in our lives, but how far could you or I really go pushed to the limit? I hope you never have to find out because it is not normally a pleasant journey.

A recommended read if you aren't too squeamish, don't have nightmares easily, and can look death in the face and work to keep thinking.

Ted is the son of missionaries John and Helen Dekker, whose incredible story of life among headhunters in Indonesia has been told in several books. Deadlock by Robert Liparulo

Hey my Readers!

I had a horrible PC mess up, so here I am at last! Ugg! Good thing I got to read this great book first! :D This was my first "adult" novel by Rober Liparulo. I was *NOT* disapointed at all! I really enjoyed this book. Deadlock hooks you in by the first chapter and you just want to keep reading non-stop. Mr. Liparulo's showed wonderful understanding of software as well as military tatics just made this book real. I am thrilled to know that some of his other books will be movies, because I will want to see them as well.

The thing that most moved me about this book was the base truth of how we train our young men in the military. This book should be a must read for anyone who has a loved one in the military, just from the standpoint that they do not come back home the same as they left. There is so much we have yet to learn!

Anyway, before I digress horribly, I would recomend this book for reading in an instant! In fact, I can't wait to read more of Mr. Liparulo's work!

Angel Of Wrath by Bill Myers

Hello Readers! 

Grab this one while it is hot! ;) I haven't read the end yet tonight, but I wouldn't tell you the ending if I had! This book is a sequel, but trust me you will not miss things in this book because you haven't read the first one. This book contains a *wonderful* update and flow from Mr. Myers that kept me from worrying about what I didn't know from the first voice. Satan and his workers are alive and well, but God is bigger....ALWAYS! But if you are the one in the middle of the stress, in the middle of the mess, it is harder to work through and keep your faith in God growing. This book came to me in a time that I just needed to read it. I needed this story this week and I am thankful for it! 

YES.. read this one!

Well, one thing led to another and even though I got C's in my one writing class in college (and told God I could do anything for him but write) I got my first writing job for a TV series. And then another and then some directing jobs and finally some books. (I think I've written and/or directed a few dozen films and about 60 books). The projects have won about 40 awards, I get to travel all over the world, and I'm having the time of my life. I often think that none of this would have happened if I lived my life my way. I would have never chosen writing and directing for a living. Instead, I might be in somebody's mouth this very minute drilling away as a dentist. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with being a dentist, it's just not what I was designed for. So, everywhere I go, I encourage people to say yes to God, no matter how foolish it may feel, because by doing that, they'll be in the center of His will and living a cooler life than they'd ever dreamed possible. It's not always easy and it can be a little scary…but it's anything but boring!

Today I live in California, not too far from Hollyweird (where I'm still trying to make a difference) with two cats, two kids, one dog and one wife.

The Real Enemy by Kathy Herman

Hi Readers! 

This was an in-depth book that was just wonderful. Brill and Kurt's situation was a wonderful story of its own, that was only more dramatic while placed into the setting of Brill's work as a Police Chief. The suspense of the book was just right! It never let up, but it also never got so thick that you couldn't keep up with it either. I really did enjoy this book, and I wouldn't mind reading the next book in the Sophie Trace series! I also liked how Mrs. Herman created Sophie Trace. I grew up very near to Tennessee, so I really liked the setting for this book.

A Cousin's Promise By Wanda Brunstetter

Hello My Readers! 

A nice fast easy going read. The kind you can finish up in one afternoon and just smile about. This is my second book I have ever read by Wanda Brunstetter. She has the same relaxing easy reading style with this book as before. One thing I really enjoyed about the book was the baby lamb who lost a leg. Why? Well, not that long ago one one of my Pomeranian moms had her first litter. She panicked with the first baby and something I have never had happen before happened. The first born little girl lost her leg, from the knee down! What is so ironic is that we called her Tripod for quite a while. Then I sort of wondered if it sounded mean, to name her after a camera tripod, though both are 3 legged, and we started calling her Trixie. Much like the lamb also named Tripod in this book, my little gal has thrived. There is life after accidents. There are reasons God walks us through the valley of the shadow of death.  If you get a chance to read this book, do so! I was in one store tonight and saw it there for sale for under $7.00! You just can't beat that!

Hunter Brown and the Secret of the Shadow by The Miller Brothers

Hello Readers! 

Again, a WONDERFUL WONDERFUL read! I really enjoyed this book so much! I have so many favorite parts, but the first one that stuck into my mind was when Hunter is being told about Author. I simply loved that because the minute I read it in the book, into my head popped how God is the Author and finisher of our faith. Things that like that never stopped coming to my mind as I read this book. It is an enticing story that just keeps getting better and better as you read. ;) I am not going to tell you too much about it, because I do want you to read it!!! I will tell you this, you will be wishing you had read it, and wondering if you are a Codebearer or not until the day you read this book and find out what is truth, and what is fiction.

Breach Of Trust by DiAnn Mills

Hi Readers,

This was such a good book that I was even dreaming about it at night! This is a really wonderful read. I would say that this book is akin to a really good CSI or Law and Order-ish type show. It was just fun and fascinating, with lots of deep emotion, and a wonderful plot!
